Your interior space is a reflection of you and says more to those who enter than any words spoken.
The key element to being pleased every time you walk in the door is having your space 'speak to you in your own language'.The pleasureable feeling of inner happiness is created by being surrounded by the colours,things and of course those that you love.
There is a wonderful collaborative team effort between yourself and us in any project as we learn 'to speak the same language'. Our job is to interpret the ideas,thoughts and desires you convey to us and translate that into your space.
It always helps of course if there is a fundamental understanding to begin with.In our case we have particular styles of decor that may or may not resonate with you.We are not the chrome and glass folks or the single apple on the coffee table folks or the 'make my home look like a high end hotel room' folks...no, that's not us. We believe that in life 'be true to yourself',so we are.For us it's the unusual piece,or newer pieces mixed in for the eclectic look along with well loved antiques,or perhaps older pieces refurbished.It may be the look of a seaside cottage or French Country or English Cottage/Manor. It's all about incorporating what you already have like that old weird chair someone left you or was perhaps a lucky find.The finished look is something that appears as if it evolved over years or generations and we call it 'Old Money'.

We have been decorating homes,condos,offices,businesses,retreats and cottages for over 30 years stretching from the Tropics to Europe and back to Toronto and Vancouver.These years have been spent surrounded by quality fabrics,paint,wallpaper,furnishings and antiques.We pioneered areas now popular by working with real estate agents 25 years ago assisting them with 'the ones that wouldn't sell' by using tricks of the trade and a keen eye. We helped with setting up a home for resale or showing a new one to it's best advantage by what is now called 'staging'.
The idea of 'green' is second nature to us as we have been living that way for as long as we have been decorating.Europe is far ahead of North America in that respect as they have an appreciation for the old and wellworn and are not prone to throw things out as we are over here. When you look closely at finer older homes in Europe you will often discover aged linen union upholstery,slate or hardwood floors showing signs of traffic and drapery of linen or silk all showing some age but still intact (like many of us!) Notice all are natural products and will stand the test of time.
We learned that to slip cover and/or reupholster is a way of life and adds infinite variety.You can simply change a few items such as cushion covers,area rugs,and window treatments allowing you to move in harmony with the seasons.This is one of our finest trademarks :moving with the natural rhythms of life. We're masters at this and will show you how to do this.
In conjunction with all mentioned and in keeping with honouring our beautiful blue planet we use only the highest quality low VOC paints,low impact flooring, natural fabrics,energy efficient lighting and energy smart appliances or an AGA where we can!
